It was all joy for the family of Pastor Iheanacho from Mgbidi in Oru West LGA whose wife Mrs Michael Mercy was referred from Mgbidi Health Center to Imo State Specialist Hospital for child delivery through a successful Caesarean section as they were discharged with their baby boy without paying 1kobo.
While the head of inspection unit of Imo State Health Insurance Agency, Joy Ukwuije, visited the facility to ascertain the level of quality services rendered to the beneficiary, the family expressed their profound gratitude to His Excellency Dis. Sen. Hope Uzodimma for ensuring that the Health Insurance Programme was effected in all local governments of the State and thus putting smiles and Hope in lives of Ndi-Imo.
The family also thanked the management of the Imo State Health Insurance Agency ably led by the Executive Secretary/CEO, Dr Uche Ewelike for ensuring that the vulnerable in the state actually benefitted from the programme and prayed for grace for the agency to do more exploits.
Recall that over 66,000 persons enrolled into the BHCPF programme have been accessing free medical care in the 305 wards across the 27 LGAs of the State since April 2023.
