The Management Team of the Imo State Health Insurance Agency (IMSHIA), led by the Executive Secretary/Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Donald Osita Eneh, on Wednesday, July 22, 2026, held a strategic engagement with the Management Team of Heartland Hospital Management Corporation.
The meeting focused on strengthening the partnership between IMSHIA and Heartland Hospitals to ensure seamless, affordable, and quality healthcare delivery to ImoCare enrollees across the 27 Local Government Areas of Imo State.
Speaking during the meeting, Dr. Donald Osita Eneh noted that the collaboration is critical to achieving the Agency’s mandate of providing equitable, affordable, and quality health insurance services in line with the State Government’s Universal Health Coverage (UHC) agenda.
“Heartland Hospital Management Corporation remains one of our key strategic partners. As we scale up enrollment under ImoCare, it is important that our providers are well equipped and our enrollees receive prompt and dignified care,” Dr. Eneh stated.
“This engagement is to align processes, leverage technology, and eliminate bottlenecks so that Ndi Imo can truly feel the impact of the health insurance scheme.”
On his part, the Managing Director of Heartland Hospital Management Corporation commended IMSHIA for its leadership and transparency in managing the scheme. He assured that Heartland hospitals are ready to scale capacity and improve service delivery to meet the growing number of ImoCare enrollees.
The Executive Secretary emphasized that IMSHIA remains committed to working with all accredited healthcare providers to reduce out-of-pocket expenditure for citizens and strengthen the health system in Imo State.
