Dr Uchenna Ewelike the capacity Executive Secretary/CEO of Imo State Health Insurance Agency, delivered a keynote address during the Stakeholders Meeting organized by the National Health Insurance Authority NHIA (NHIA) in Owerri on Friday 29/08/2025.
The meeting was aimed at fostering collaboration, strengthening partnerships and addressing key issues relating to health insurance delivering in Imo State.
Dr Ewelike who was a guest speaker during the event, extolled the political will and support of His Excellency, Dist. Sen. (Dr) Hope Uzodimma, describing it as the catalyst behind the milestones achieved by the agency within the 2 and half years of implementation while pointing out that the agency is currently on the enrollment process of enrolling 2.7 million Imo residents into the ImoCare Health insurance program of the agency as approved and supported by the Governor of Imo State.
The renowned health economist reaffirmed the agency’s commitment to ensuring value for money and reduction in out-of-pocket expenditure for Ndi-Imo when accessing quality healthcare services.
